Health and wellness, it seems, is on the rise.
With the advent of healthier snacks such of healthy snack foods like whole foods or high protein chips and snacks, consumers are getting more choices, and they’re also getting healthier.
According to a recent study, Americans are eating more healthy snacks and snacks in general than ever before, with sales of snacks up 6.5% year-on-year between the first quarter of 2017 and the second quarter of 2018.
In fact, the overall sales of snack foods grew 7.3% during the same period.
In addition, snacks and other snacks are on the verge of a big comeback.
“I am really excited about this resurgence in the snack category,” says David Faraone, CEO of health products company, Fitbit, which is based in New York.
“It’s a great time for consumers.
We have some great new products, like Fitbits, that we think are going to continue to grow in the future.”
Faraon, who started the company as a fitness tracker and fitness band maker, says healthy snacks like these are key to the company’s continued success.
“We’re seeing consumers looking for healthier options,” he says.
“As we start to bring back healthier snacks to our shelves, we’ll be able to compete with the likes of Starbucks and other chains that are introducing healthier snacks.”
As the health industry continues to see rapid growth, so too does the snack industry.
According the American Dietetic Association (ADA), the average American consumes around 300 calories from healthy snacks a day.
While it’s true that there are plenty of unhealthy snacks, many of these snacks are consumed as a side dish or as a snack to help fill up on calories, Faraoone says.
As a result, healthy snacks can have a significant impact on our weight loss.
“The more snacks you eat, the better your body will feel,” Faraoni says.
The average American also eats more calories from sugar than any other food group, according to the ADA.
“You can go into a lot of trouble when you have a lot, especially with sweets,” Farrone says, pointing out that sugar is the number one source of added calories in the United States.
However, Farrones point out that the best way to avoid sugar is to eat healthy snacks that are high in fiber, protein, and other nutrients.
“If you eat a lot you’re not going to lose weight,” Farone says of his company’s healthy snacks.
“What we’re trying to do is create products that are very high in those nutrients.”
It is important to note that all of the healthy snacks Faraones sells are made by Fitbit and Fitbit uses them as part of its “Healthy” program.
“Fitbit does not make our products,” Faron says.
Instead, it uses them to create a range of products that fit the Fitbit lifestyle.
According Farrons company, Farma, all of Fitbit’s products are made with “healthy ingredients” that are sourced from a number of sources, including the company itself.
The Fitbit team has also found that many of its products are well-received by consumers.
“Faraone’s experience working with us on these products, working with the Fitbits team, and working with Fitbit has been fantastic,” says Fitbit co-founder, Chris Dixon.
“Our products have been extremely well received by our customers and the community, and that’s really exciting.”
Farroni, too, says that many consumers appreciate Fitbit products that don’t have an unhealthy taste to them.
“There’s a lot more variety,” he said.

Faroni and Dixon agree that healthy snacks are a perfect fit for the new fitness-focused market.
“Health is becoming more of a priority for people in their everyday lives,” Farsi says.
According Dixon, consumers have been searching for healthy snacks to fill up their meals, and this trend will only continue.
“That’s one of the reasons Fitbit was able to go forward and make this company,” he adds.
“Because they’re using a whole food approach to the ingredients.
You can’t make healthy snacks without whole foods.”
While healthier snacks are now a trend, the snack market is only just starting to catch up to the popularity of health and wellness products.
According a recent report from market research firm, Euromonitor International, the number of people eating at least three healthy snacks per day grew to 1.2 billion by 2021.
As health continues to gain traction, Farsinos future is bright.
“This market is going to grow very quickly,” Farto says.
